You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"Thank you..." I say with a fake slight smile. My palms begin to sweat as I take a seat and find the courage to speak again. "I was... I think..." I utter as I try to find the right words to declare. "I'm the daughter of a farmer and a palace maid. I'm making my way to the metropolis of Valdev to experience a life of my own and eventually start a family." I rise, collecting myself and grabbing my pack as I brush myself off from the dust left on the cushion. "Thank you again for your kindness and open ear, I hope to see you again." I mutter before I turn to continue my path.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I can avoid powergaming in roleplay by playing a realistic character that can be subject to loss. By making realistic emotes it creates a better roleplaying experience for everyone.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It creates unfair roleplay because of the fact it'll disrupt storylines with an unfair advantage. You'll be using knowledge that's unattainable or your character shouldn't have known ruining roleplay experiences and storylines.
