    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using out of character acquired information and using it in game for your character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is using unfair, unrealistic and OP actions. Such as making your persona invincible or rping with someone and killing them without letting them have a choice.

The gentleman answers, " Ah yes, I think you just missed him, I saw him leaving with his family's caravan 1 hour ago."

Abolios looks with a disappointed face and responds, " That's sad to hear do you have any idea of where he went to?"
