You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…
I calm myself, and begin to tell my story, "My twin brother was taken from his home in the middle of the night." I pause and before continuing, reach into my pocket and pull out an object wrapped in cloth, I slowly unwrap the object and present her with a glass shard that has dried and crusted blood on one of its edges. "I had woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of a scuffle coming from his home, naturally I went to investigate. This was all that I had found after thoroughly investigating the scene. There wasn't anymore blood, no broken windows, smashed locks, footprints, nothing. Just this shard." I take a deep breath and rewrap the shard before continuing, "My brother is very important to me, we were one of the only pairs of twins to ever be born in my home village and I can't afford to lose him." I stare deeply into her eyes, "And I will do anything to get him back."
