    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is having your character act on information they do not know. For example, a character who deals a lot of acid damage might fight a dragon. The player might know that the dragon is resistant to acid damage, but the character will not know. The character should still deal acid damage and find the dragon's resistances on their own.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is forcing actions on other characters and performing unrealistic feats. John can not disarm Jane on his own; Jane must try to resist getting disarmed. John also can not swim super fast if he has never swum before or run at the speed of light.
