    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is essentially the knowledge one has that only their character would have. For example, if I'm speaking to a player and they are yet to introduce themselves, I have no knowledge of their name and therefore referring to them as such would break metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is essentially having a successful outcome/action without the other player(s) having a chance/opportunity to go along with the scenario. It's pretty much being successful without any drawbacks which isn't ideal and can be frustrating. Ignoring certain effects, personality traits, certain outcomes etc all contribute to powergaming.
