You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

As Katar sat before the old hag in her tattered tent, he felt his guard slowly lowering. For years he had kept up his hood and mask, hiding his elvish features from the world. But now, in this dimly-lit space, he found himself feeling safe. It was as if the candles hanging above were casting a spell, one that was easing the burden he carried with him every day. With a deep breath, Katar began to speak, telling the old hag of his journey and the trials he had faced along the way. The old hag listened intently, her eyes fixed on Katar's face. She could see the pain etched into his features, the weariness in his eyes. And yet, she also saw something else. something that hinted at a strength and determination that went beyond mere survival. As Katar finished his tale, the old hag reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Rest here, young traveler," she said softly. "Take a moment to gather your strength. And when you are ready, continue on your journey." Katar nodded. For the first time in a long while, he felt as though he was not alone in the world. And
