How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using outside info to increase your power in game. Like going on a wiki to find the cords for a treasure
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power gaming is giving yourself an unfair advantage. Like you are a god and cant be killed. Or can one punch kill a gaint.
    Status: Accepted

“Adventure,” Brunle replies “and to find some sort of settlement.” He leans forward and shake his hand hastily. He continues on his way to find a place to call home. He is walking down streets, sometimes looking in food shops to smell the food, then remember that he can get any. This fact, makes him even more hungry, knowing that he cant have it. This really hurts him morally and physically.

Your application has been put on pending. The following changes must be made before you can be accepted:

  •  Your Metagaming and Powergaming Definitions are on the right track, though they’re not quite there. Take another look at our Wiki’s definitions for help, and I recommend including examples so I can tell you fully understand.

  • Your Character Biography is missing some lore references! Please remember to include at least two! There are many things that you can reference including but not limited to existing settlements, wars, and religions. Here are some links that may help you find some!

  • Your Character Biography is a bit short; please include at least 10 sentences. If you don’t know what to add, I recommend thinking more about your character’s backstory. Here are some questions you can ask yourself: where are they from? What was their family like? In what situation did they grow up? How did they get where they are today?

  • Your Character Biography states that your character is from San’Kala. San’Kala is a city from ages past; he cannot have been born there. Please replace this with a viable lore reference!

  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response should be in third person POV.

If you do not make these changes within 24 hours, your application will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on discord @amelica#8025 to let me know. If you don’t have a Discord, send me a forum message; please don’t be afraid to approach me with any questions that arise.

If you still need help, make sure to check the wiki! I also highly recommend that you join our discord and read through the New Player Hub to gain access to a plethora of important links and information.

Congratulations, you’ve been accepted! Welcome to Lord of the Craft!

Now that you’ve been accepted, you will spawn in Cloud Temple as soon as you log in. You’ll also notice that you can now interact with the world around you. If you need any help, find yourself confused, or get yourself stuck in an unsavory situation, you can message me in-game by doing /msg Amelica [message]. If I’m not online, you can find me on discord  @amelica#8025. Additionally, if you find yourself needing any more guidance in-game and I am not around, please type ‘/creq [message as to what you need]’ into the chat and another Community Team Member will get to you as soon as possible!

After reading the information below and logging in to LotC, you will find yourself in Tutorial Island and the NPCs there will give you a thorough overview of how to roleplay on LoTC. If you find yourself still confused or want a proper, customized introduction to the world of Lord of the Craft, please run this command in the chat:

/creq I have just been accepted and would like a Wilven Monk!

Also, when you first join, the bot that automatically whitelists you after the acceptance of your application may be down. If so, please go into the wandering soul channel (type #ws in the chat) and ask for a Community Team Member to accept you!

Next, I highly recommend that you join the main LotC discord using the invite link below. Also, please look through the New Player Hub by clicking the second link!

In addition, I recommend that you take a look at our Settlement Guides. The settlements that you may be interested in based on your character’s race are linked below.

If you aren’t interested in any of those, take a look at our Settlement Guide Hub!
