How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I follow the rules and guidelines set by the Server, and roleplay aware of my character's limitations.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It ruins the continuity and logic set by the story created from roleplay, which ruins how fair a roleplay can be.
    Status: Accepted

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?))

"My story?" He'd chuckle slightly.

He'd go to sit down on the cushion with a hefty sigh. "Well, it's not all that interesting of one."

"You see, I'm actually travelling right now, I'm from up north, Norland. Aye, quite the ways away indeed. I've been travelling with a childhood friend of mine, Rune Andersen. He's a good lad, but he's always been an odd one. Always obsessed with talk of alchemy and becoming an Artificer." He'd chuckle slightly.

He'd look over at the candles illuminating the dingy tent. "Oh, and I'm a firm believer in The Red Faith. Grew up with it as a child. And I suppose I've always been a big lad, even among highlanders. Though Rune would never wrestle me, for obvious reasons."

He'd look back at the hag clearing his throat a little. "As for why I travel with him... We've always wanted to leave the village once we were older. You know, to explore the world and all. He wanted to do it for his alchemy and all, but me? I suppose I wanted to see the world for myself, and maybe I'll find something I can really dedicate myself to, like he does with alchemy. Perhaps I'll find some trade or something of the like, right?" He'd smile slightly as he spoke.

He'd shift in his seat to turn and look at the hag directly, and spoke with a somewhat eager and curious voice.

"But... You said you were expecting me, right? Mmm... How come? Tell me... How do you know who I am?"
