“Well, hello,” I respond as cheerily as I can, which is to say not very. I have quite a bit on my mind right now, how I miss my family, how lucky it was that I beat that guy at cards, but mostly how weary I am from the journey. This weariness is the reason for my unhappiness, and probably the reason for my annoyance at this stranger. “What does it matter to you?” I respond to him before attempting to find my way to the nearest shop, partially to browse, but mostly just to get away from him, but then stop. He is well dressed after all, and he may have a reason for approaching me. A reason that might mean mina for me. I turn back to the well-dressed man, grinning, “Adventuring. Though a little wealth wouldn’t hurt,” I tell him.
