Parowin smiles at the stranger, sizing him up. The gentleman seemed to have been waiting before the market for something. Whether Parowin was his intended target or just one that stood out or was just nearer, he did not know.
“Hello, my good man. I am choosing not to limit myself to any one of those things. I am here to experience life and learn all that I can. If an opportunity for adventure or wealth presented itself, so be it! Now tell me, why do you wait here to ask this question to me?”
The gentlemen stood with his hands behind his back and smiled more deeply.
“Well, I’ve got quite an adventure for you then.”
As he brought his hands to his side, Parowin tensed mildly, preparing for what may come. He had traveled to too many places in the world to know that one does not start near the Ports looking to ask passing questions to strangers without some ulterior motive. He would not be done in so easily. As the strangers hands came forward, Parowin saw that he carried a handful of papers.
“My friend is looking for someone to help!” The stranger offered a flyer to Parowin.
“Well thank you. I will look into it!” With a smile, Parowin walked away before glancing down at the paper. It seemed someone needed a practitioner of the arcane. Perhaps the gentleman sized him up as the only High Elf getting off the boat. He folded the paper and placed it in his pocket. It could be interesting to look into. He paused to look back at the gentleman, just barely catching him watching him leave.
