    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you take information from out of the game and use it in-game. If I hear that my friends are kidnapped, and I log on and find them using coordinates, I am metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you overplay your character's abilities. For example, I am powergaming if I emote that my character kills twenty people in one swing of his axe, or if I suddenly cast a magic spell without having learned it before.
