You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example: Nemerlis would analyze his surroundings, still in shock from his encounter. "Me and my friends were traveling and were attacked by wolves... I barely escaped, running for... I don't know how long... and now I'm here." Dazed and disorientated he has a hard time processing what had just happened to him. "Do I know you?" He looks at the old woman.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I believe my own preferred style of RP is one that does not truly allow powergaming. I like to play through schemes and carefully structured plans that take a long time to set up. When an opportunity presents itself I like to see what I can do with it etc... This almost always revolves around seeing how other people react and what actions they take. To summarize, my actions in RP are always shaped by the ongoings of the world around the OC. (when other people act in a different way than expected, it always throws in a fun problem to solve for the overall plan)
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: I faced this issue many times when this issue would ruin the entire plan or scheme revolving around my OC. Metagamaing disrupts the flow of a story, it ruins plot lines and in general, removes the fun of it. Additionally it can completely invalidate something that a person has been working towards a long time. Example: a person has been keeping in secret something important in his possession for a long time. Other people are looking for it as well, but someone told others out of rp about it being in that person's possession. Suddenly everyone knows, that person becomes a target and thus invalidates all his efforts.
