You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
*Spud nervously sits on the cushion*
“I’ve been traveling around the continent for a while just trying to learn more about the kingdoms and everything from the stories I was told as a young child.”
*Spud pauses and looks around at the floating candles before speaking again*
*They look down and in a low voice say*
“My parents passed away when I was younger while they were out traveling, so I’ve pretty much just been by myself since then, being raised by the elders of the town usually means a lot of chores and not much fun exploring.”
*Spud looks back up at the old hag*
“I've never really been outside of my town until a few weeks ago and I think I am doing pretty good alone.”
*Spud adjusts their seating*
“I’ve met a lot of interesting people in my adventures and have developed a small reputation as a trader, since that is what my parents used to do, I figured I could give it a try as well.”
*Spud begins to stand up and says*
“And now I seek to travel the world and witness many beautiful sights of the continent.”
