You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Jomvok, starved from his journey North feels at home as he smells the dank wetness of rotting wood. This feeling of home is quickly overwhelmed with the reality of his current situation. Shaking his head, saliva dripping from his large orcish fangs as he does so, he continues on his travels through this ramshackle town. With his eyes being caught by the magic of floating candles, his curiosity once again gets the best of him as he decides to enter the tent quietly and cautiously.

Surprised to be addressed so quickly and informally, Jomvok is instantly listening to the hag in front of him. His deep green eyes widen as she mentions her clairvoyance regarding him arriving. Surprised, he takes a seat as his chest begins to feel light. Before the nervous wave of explaining himself to an outsider, he realizes he no longer needs to worry of repercussions. With that, he lets out a deep exhale through his teeth and begins to tell his story to the elder.

"I am Jomvok..." He starts, wondering if he could truly trust this mysterious figure with his past. However, he has no future as it stands, and the knowledge of an outsider may help him. With this revelation, he opens the gates and lets his story roll out. "And I have been exiled from my tribe for... Studying..." As he speaks, it is clear his grasp on common is not on par with native speakers, however for an orc from his region, it could be considered impressive. "Studying the ways and cultures of the outside world. My tribe finally had enough with me, and decided to rid of me. So now I am here, starving and afraid of my life in this outside world I've studied so much." 

With another deep breath between quick bursts of speaking, Jomvok holds back a sea of questions before finally deciding on a single one to ask. "If you know me, can you help me?"
