You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Admiring the candles floating above, a grin grows on Quill's face as he quickly takes a seat on the cushion.

Quill chuckles while taking a bright red bird feather out a small leather bag on his belt. "Oh, what a wonderful story it's been, Ma'am." Admiring the bird's feather, he holds it up towards the light. "I don't remember much from growing up, Mostly just my mother. She would tell me stories of her adventures before my birth, The world outside our walls." Letting go off the feather, he watches it gracefully fall towards the floor, twisted in the air before grabbing it quickly and positioning it behind his ear. "She gave her life so I could leave our village. It was a corrupt place, No place for a good woman like her. Once I got out.. Well I was lost. I had no idea where a boy like me could go. Growing up alone in the forest, I saw traveler after traveler journey through. I spoke to them all, listened to their stories. They inspired me to become who I am, To explore the world on my own." Quill jumps up from the cushion, Looking brighter than he did before, an aura of excitement glowing around him. "I've seen it all, Every creature, every corner. Me and my partner doing everything we can to be the people this world needs!" His eyes move towards the hag, slowly readjusting his cloak he lets out a deep sigh, "That's what it's all about, Madam, Helping who we can through whatever jobs come our way. Speaking of.. You got any adventurers to throw our way!"
