You’ve just arrived in a mountain town. As you look around, your gaze is met with many small businesses and houses all around. It smells of a never ending winter and a strong fire. He walks into a place with odd writing he can't transcribe, which he believes to be a bar. The heat from the fire consumes Feng's body as he walks into the bar, owned by a small old man, who he could only imagine has been working at this location for years. He looks up at Feng, saying "Hello my friend, what do you think you'll have to drink? There hasn't been much business tonight." Feng sits down at a stool and passes over a coin of silver. "Rice beer or Mead, whichever you have." The man slides the coin back, "a free drink for you my friend, a new face in this town, he smiles." "So what's your name and story my friend?", the old man asks.

"Feng looks him in the eye preparing to speak, only to be interrupted by the old man. "What am I saying! How rude of me, my name is Dai." Now allowing Feng to speak he starts on a story, long of troubles with travelling through mountains with many groups across his years, a nomadic lifestyle. Yet nothing interesting, at least not to Dai. It seems that Dai has grown bored after an hour of Feng's ramblings about hunting in the mountains attempting to survive, and then he perks up speaking about something, this grabs Dai's attention. "But here is why I haven't any company in my travels, a year ago we were struck by bandits, my family and people travelling with us that is. We were staying at a village over night because of the treacherous winds and cold, what we didn't anticipate is in the middle of the night the village would be raided by a neighboring village, by the end of the raid though I didn't get involved in battle, I hid under a pile of wood. There was nothing left, all the buildings had been burnt and I could not find any of the people I travelled with, and so now I roam alone. Now I am here and without any idea of what to do." Dai watches in astonishment expected more words for Feng but there is none. "What a fascinating story my friend, it seems if you aren't going to stay at least I could let you rest for the night here-" to be cut off by Feng "I will never rest at a place where I cannot defend myself, I must find total independence in life and until then I will be on my own. As Feng gets up, putting a bronze coin on the table, and leaving."
