You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Ah, yes, Thulia I'm guessing?" - I say while evaluating the hag's wrinkled face. "You know, for a witch you've got quite a nice place here haha, these candles remind me of the great mountain halls at home". No sound came through the old woman's mouth. "Right, so... where to start?" I sit down on the other end of the tent but can't face her, the eyes felt penetrating. "I was brought up in the great mountain ranges of Vailor, raised by my only brother, as I have never met my parents. I have to say we made a great team, with him I picked up on some blacksmithing techniques he knew, casting swords, warhammers, shields, helmets, you know the usual stuff". The strong memories are coming back to me, as I try to relax and add "That's how we made a living actually, by selling equipment to the dwarves in surrounding settlements, even though we didn't make much money since the pieces we forged weren't all that great". I pause to take a deep breath and continue - "But it kept me happy, being with him like this, I suppose it distracted me from ever asking about our parents, that is, until a few years ago".
