You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Ah, thank you for your generous hospitality" He walks towards the back of the tent and takes a seat on the chair that the old hag was gesturing too, "I guess I should start off with my name" He pauses for little before continuing, "My name is Nyx Doria, and I grew up on a farm with my parents". "My father was a man who would die to protect others, and my mother would always scold him on how reckless he was". He chuckles at the thought of his mother scolding his father. It reminded him of when life used to be a lot better, "He was the one who taught me how to be proficient with the sword, and I would always ask him if he would ever teach me magic". Nyx lowers his head, "He said that one day he would teach me, but unfortunately that day never came". Nyx takes a deep sigh before continuing on with his past, "We were out in the forest bringing home some wood for the fireplace when we hear a little girl laughing near a cliffside, My father told her to get away from there, but she didn't listen and almost tripped off the cliff". "My father had pulled her away before she fell to her doom, but-" Nyx takes in a sharp breath before continuing, "He sadly lost his footing due too him being so close to the edge and he fell to his death". "I stood there and watched my father fall to his death..." He starts to tear u, "IF ONLY I HAD BEEN QUICKER I COULD HAVE SAVED HIM". Nyx sits stilly and unmoving for a minute until finishing his story, "His death still affects me to this day, it is a scar that will never heal" He turns his head up to face the old hag in the eyes, "Now I want to go out there and help people from danger just like my father did, I think its the only way to make up for not saving him that day".
