    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when someone during roleplay applies knowledge that they know IRL (out of character) and apply it to their character, despite it not possibly fitting.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you create an invincible character, incredibly strong or a magical character that can defeat everyone with no hesitation. (Think Rey in all the Star-Wars movies. Or even Finn, I mean he was up to match with a TRAINED SITH LORD.)

My character would respond to the man with a slight smile, saying "I've come here to make a name for myself, in combat, in architecture, or in a glorious organization perhaps." He would then chuckle and walk away, into the city.
