You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Well, uh, I've been told of a cure to save some of the fellow villagers" he focusses on her face, gathering info and possible past experiences she has had. "I was raised from a young age to be self sufficent in these woods, I needed to after my father died to some of the beast out there" he adds. "It was tough for awhile, I hated the idea of killing, but as i continued to do it, it just became another instinct almost, a way to channel my hatred." He sighs, then chuckles, "But at the end of the day, the work I do is able to help the rest of the village to grow and hopefully, some of them will leed good lives, at least, better than I had. I feel like I must take some accountability for what happens to everyone, so I took it apon myself to figure of the cause of this plague that has been affecting us."

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I avoid powergaming by following the rules and making sure that things aren't too powerful by asking others what they think.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming makes things not fun for those around, if you become some all powerful god-like being, it may be fun for you, but everyone else will end up frustrated/bored and nobody will have any fun.
