Eudiell was walking down the street. It was getting dark yet the streets were still buzzing with activity. A small antique shop in an alleyway caught the Goblin's attention. It had a swing sign which wasn't readable anymore and the Windows were so neglected that you could barely make out a silhouette of light inside.
Despite all of that, she was still curious, so she entered it. Immediately after opening the door she was met with a bell ringing „One second I'm on my way” she heard a voice say she spotted a counter with a candle a short distance in front of her, cautiously she began walking towards it when she reached the counter she saw a small figure appear from behind a curtain it was a sweet looking old woman „Hello Sweetheart” she began „and welcome to my store, what brings you here?” The Goblin began to look around and noticed a small gilded and jeweled box there it was, this feeling, this urge she quickly looked up „Yeah ehh” she began looking around again and spotted a stool „Do you have one of these in a slightly lighter shade?” she said with a nervous smile she didn't pay attention to what the old woman had to say, she was focused in the box again it was so... Shiny Eudiell couldn't feel the urge overcome her she needed it she took notice of the old woman again „...I'm going to look in the back then sweet-heart” „uh yeah” the goblin said as the woman vanished behind the curtain Eudiell was conflicted. On one didn't want to fall for her instincts, her greed and the woman seemed nice. Stealing from her would be, wrong but on the other hand she saw the box and the jewels which guilded it who knows what might be inside? More gold? Jewelry? She could feel her Heart beat faster as she knew that the old woman could be back any minute, she came to a decision first she made sure that there really is no one in the store and then she closed her eyes held her breath and took the Box feeling a bit if shame for falling for her instincts. The woman emerged from the back saying: „I'm sorry but we don't have them in any other color” still plagued with the guilt of her actions she could just get out a silent „That's fine” and made her way to exit her heart still beating like crazy. She exited the shop and sprinted down the road to a safe place only hearing a silent „have a nice evening” and bell.
Quite some time passed. It got dark already as she found a safe. place, now she looked upon the fruits of her. actions she was extremely disappointed in. herself yet, she was still curious what she got out of risking to get caught.
Cautiously, she opened the box and found...
Milk teeth.
There was also a picture of a woman who resembled the woman in the store, but the one in the picture looked younger with her in the picture was a little boy lacking a few teeth.
disappointed and frustrated with herself, she looked into the city and said to herself: „This is just a new low”.
