How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is where a character gains information or abilities through seemingly impossible/unrealistic means, not local to them. These new talents/omniscient abilities usually suit them best for a particular problem they're facing at that moment e.g. a farmer who knows nothing of war suddenly gaining the ability to fight like a knight who has trained since childhood in the arts of warfare.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is in other words, you're character having main character syndrome. Essentially having an advantage over all others for the sake of showing superiority to impress. For example, you've been arrested for public nuisance-making, and to get out of your punishment, you roleplay the guard dropping the key to the cell, with you picking it up and escaping, leaving the guard high and dry.

Gevard would greet the man with a polite smile and politely dodge the question by asking "Where is a good and tidy local inn sir? I have had a long and weary journey at sea and wish to recuperate before making my fortune in this land.". The well-dressed gentlemen would smile and nod, seeing something of himself in this yong whippersnapper, and direct him to a decent if a little rough local inn, as seeing from the state of the young man's clothes, he was not likely to have the coin to afford the establishments he himself visited. Upon arriving at the inn, two indicators showed the place to be a little less rougher than usual, two men were brawling in the corner, obviously as apart of some drinking game (at least Gevard hoped this was the case!) and the floorboards were in dire need of repair. A smile appeared on Gevard's face, if this was city life - at least is was exciting!

Hi there! As you can see, your app is almost ready! Just a few changes you need to make, but don’t worry - you are doing great!

  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response is a bit short. Please add more to your response and make sure to include one piece of quoted dialogue and one action.

  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response must be in the 3rd person

  • There are some concerns about your account that are currently being looked into aswell.

You’ll be given 24 hours to correct the changes above. Once you are done correcting, please contact me!
