How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming goes under many terms, however in roleplay, it is used as applying other character's IRP (In Roleplay) or OORP (Out Of Roleplay) knowledge towards their own character. An example of this can be some sort of conversation, conflict, or event happening across the server's in-game map. However, *Insert character name* knows due to the person controlling it, resulting in that character making its way across the map to join/interrupt/interfere with it. With this, Metagaming is known as an unfair advantage in Roleplay, as it can give characters levelling unfair and unjust advantages over other characters, factions or nations depending on what information was applied and used.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming goes under many terms, however, in roleplay, it is specifically used as a way to perform overpowered or unfair actions/emotes towards others IRP (In Roleplay). An example of this can be two people clashing within combat, in which one uses an action/emote that would make their character stab their shortsword perfectly through the other's heart, killing them instantly. With this, it not only puts the attacker at an oddly mary-sue stance, but it also does not allow the defender to be able to emote back unless they power game also. With this idea in mind, power-gaming is known throughout roleplay as an unfair advantage towards other characters, factions, or nations.

He'd step off from the boat, throwing a bag over his shoulder as his eyes scanned the port. The young man let out a short yawn, bringing his bare hand up to cover his mouth before continuing his way down from the wooden vessel. Comet's leather boots continued to clash against the gravel path as he made his way into the bazaar. He'd quickly stop the moment the man stepped infront, tilting a head and an eyebrow quirking. "Huh? Oh, nothing much, I guess. Just here to meet up with some friends." Comet peered over the top of the gentleman, attempting to spot his companions. "Who.. aren't here yet.." The boy let out a defeated sigh.
