Trask Ravenwhisk was born to a wealthy agricultural family, his father being an overseer of a patch of farmland within Orem. As a boy, Trask was told of his father's adventures as a young soldier in the Rubern War (1740-1760) and ever since then it has been his goal to become a high ranking military officer. However, his father's wishes for him to become a farm overseer conflicted with this, and it came to a boiling point when he left home at 18, following a fight with his father. Despite this, Trask still respects his father greatly and admires his loyalty and hard work. After leaving home, Trask began traveling all over Almaris, searching for fulfillment in life. While mainly taking odd-jobs and apprenticeships (which usually ended quickly), Trask learned a lot about himself and life outside his farm. Finally, after dropping a disaster of a blacksmith apprenticeship, Trask decided to give himself one last chance. He decided that if he wasn't able to find a way into the military life, he would rejoin his father as a farm overseer. With this in mind, Trask has been traveling through the wilderness and small towns for the last few months, teaching himself how to survive and has been training. He soon feels ready to travel to a city, where he will try for the final time to find fulfillment in life.

"Oh, Hello! This city really is lovely, indeed. Very....big." Trask said with a small smile. " I'm just passing through. I am looking for work, though. I'm sort of unemployed at the moment. Do you know of any....Oh my goodness! I completely forgot to introduce myself!" He then held out his hand, smiling even wider. "I'm Trask, And you are?"
