How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is acting upon knowledge that one's role-playing character does not yet know. Here's a real world example: the likelihood of a kindergarten student understanding the principles of quantum physics is zero to none, so we should never expect kindergarten students to discuss theoretical physics. Likewise in the role-playing community, if a dragon sacked a village a month ago, a new character should be unaware of its occurrence, even if the player is able to gather information about the event in the real world.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is creating unrealistic scenarios given the parameters of one's role-playing character. Creating one-sided advantages is unfair and detracts from others' experiences. Emotes that force actions to happen are also categorized as powergaming. Emotes should be open-ended actions that lengthen a story rather than the ace card for an unfavorable situation.

Daryll slowly raises an eyebrow behind the frame of his glasses as the man finishes his sentence. Daryll begins to speak slowly, but the volume of his voice increases in both intensity and volume as he conveys his response: “Of all the people in this bustling market, you really chose to solicit me? Why, you rascal! How am I to be sure you’re not a damn DWARF under those fancy fabrics, eh? Are you trying to rob me? Are you? Get away from me before I cast a spell and turn you into a clay pot. And point to the nearest pub while you’re at it. Do it now!” By the time Daryll is done speaking, he’s zealously shaking his fist and his head is twitching with anger.

Alright! Good job, your application is almost perfect, but a few minor things that couldn’t be overlooked, therefore, you were put on pending, before you could be accepted you must fix what follows:

->  The most important note here is that it seems you used noise shading upon your skin! Below is the link to the skin archive, which I shall link below, or request a personal tailored one within the Lord of the Craft official Discord.

However, if you truly wish to use the original skin displayed, it is required to use another method of shading upon the skin before it could be accepted.

-> Within your bio, you stated that your character has “strong lungs”, where I could say he feels more ‘comfortable’  in high altitudes them most people, I must ask you to change the wording for fear of power gaming.

-> Within your description, you stated that “the sight of his lovely beard is to die for”. You can’t really enforce that effect onto other people, please edit your description to where it’s merely a description instead of opinionated.

-> Please change your character’s fear, and when you establish it please go into details even if it’s already explained within your bio.

Where they’re not exactly counted against you, there’s something to note:

-> The max-age a player can set their human character to is fifty (50), if you do decide during the editing process to change up the character story, I heavenly, heavenly suggest to make the character twenty to thirty (20-30) years younger, but do note this is not what so ever required and to go with what you feel is fun for you to play.

If you do not make these changes within 24 hours, your application will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on discord Sora#7125 to let me know, or if you don’t have a Discord, send me a forum message, and please do ask if you have any questions

If you still need help, make sure to check the wiki, and I highly recommend joining our discord and reading through the New Player Hub as well for all important links and info!

If you need any help, you can message me in game by doing /msg SorairoDays, or if I’m not online, you can find me on discord Sora#7125. Lastly, if you need any guidance in-game, and I am not around, please do /creq along with a message as to what you need, and another Community Team Member will get to you as soon as possible!

After reading the below information and logging into LotC, I highly recommend sending this in chat so a Community Team Member can help you out:

/creq I have just been accepted and would like a Wilven Monk!

When joining, the bot may be down that normally automatically whitelists you after the acceptance of your application. So, please go into the wandering soul channel (#ws) and ask for a Community Team Member to accept you!
