You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
His face is ridden with visible confusion, not being sure if he's being the one talked to or not. He notices that it is only them in the tent. "Oh, you are talking to me" he tenses up as if he started holding his breath, and goes in further to sit down on the cushion "Thank you for the seating, Ma'am...I guess I do owe you the story, after all" he lets out a sigh.
"My name is Barbu'lirr, and I am a completely uninteresting wood elf."
"Not much to say" he chuckles awkwardly as he's tensed up, upholding perfect posture on the cushion.
"If you turn out boring, I'll kick you out" the hag says teasingly
"Fine, you twisted my root. ..you might find it interesting that I was abandoned at childbirth" his pitch softens up and he rests his arms on his crossed legs, slightly loosening up.
The hag raises and eyebrow and smirks.
He notices her interest and inhales to prepare for the story.
"But immediately after I got adopted into a, at first, loving family." he smiles sincerely before the next sentence
"Then the mom found out I was a boy and then a bunch of unpleasantries happened." he pauses staring as the smile fades.
"Long story short, I got a tattoo on my neck as a reminder I'm not enough and parents who wrongly used the Wild Faith teachings to harm me and my sister, thus we ran to the city." he holds a somewhat resting peaceful gaze with the hag.
"Speaking of her, she's probably in the market, which I'll be honest, I don't know where that is. She told me to wait in this mossy and cozy place."
"Anyway, I got distracted... did I earn the cushion?" He says with a somewhat teasing tone, mimicking the hag earlier.
"Let me consider your application, young one" the hag jokingly responds
