You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I inhaled deeply, the memories flooding back with each breath. "I once lived in a lively village with my sister, we were farmers in which our roles had been passed down through our family heritage. Memories of my hometown were vague but the village... words could not describe how magical it was. The birds sang harmoniously with the sounds of instruments as the children of our village ran joyfully through the plains. But one night darkness descended upon us, shattering our peace. Bringing those joyful screams into sharp shrieks of terror and pain. Our lands were ravaged, our people slain and my sister... lost, in the midst of the rubble of what i used to call home. I had barely made it out alive, only carrying a scar that ran across my back. And although it wasn't much, the scar was a constant reminder of the past, my sister, my home. Now, I am but a humble peasant, trying to find meaning in this life. Constantly chasing happiness and purpose that seems so close yet so far away."
