Nadya was born to nomadic parents near Sutica. Her father, a farfolk merchant and her mother an upper class heartlander, swept off her feet by the promise of adventure. She spent her first 16 years of life travelling alongside them, seeing all different parts of the world, but never calling a place home. This lifestyle, although marvellous, was lonely. As she was never given the opportunity to create lasting relationships with anyone she met, Nadya become very removed from the social world her parents lived in and, eventually, she grew tired of it and decided to set out on her own and find her independence. Longing to find a skill or profession that would give her the permanence she craved, she found herself called to the heat of the forge and decided that she would create a life for herself as a blacksmith. However, she knew in order to be successful, she would need to learn. This drove her to spend the next 3 years of her life training as a blacksmith with some of the most experienced smithies in Arcas, picking up techniques and tricks unique to every culture and city she was welcome. Her training took her from Llyria, to Fenn to even Krugmar. The orcs, who she grew a great respect for, weren’t initially open to sharing their knowledge with an outlander, however, after some serious persistence, a drink, and ‘an eye for an eye’, they eventually decided to give her the knowledge she craved if she could prove herself. Now 19, she’s decided to settle down and enjoy some good food, drink and gold in exchange for her hard work.
Peeling her eyes from the towering city and vibrant markets before her, Nadya turns to the man with polite yet slightly forced smile. “Good food, good liquor, and gold, my friend” she responds with a laugh, gently pushing past him, not waiting for a reply before continuing on into the bustling city, eager to lose herself in the crowd and have a taste of what the city has to offer.
