Eirnin scarcely spares the man a sliver of attention for precisely the first six second upon his arrival. His gaze is captured by the allure of the bustling marketplace at first, gliding along the docks toward the other boats an into the sea he'd just come from. He blinks, regaining his sense of self and postponing his quiet contemplation of how and why, and turns back to the man who has approached him. He gives the stranger a closed, genuine smile and bows down a few inches habitually. His answer comes from hesitance and an initial mistrust. Large gatherings of people, which he is not used to, make him weary, vulnerable.
"Adventure, indeed," Eirnin drawls monotonously, mimicking the man's speech pattern to make himself more approachable by default.
