You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

As Gnordo, the goblin merchant, steps into the dimly lit tent, memories of his upbringing in the shadowy corners of Middle-earth flood his mind. Born into a bustling goblin community deep within the Misty Mountains, Gnordo's childhood was filled with tales of adventure and trade. His parents, seasoned merchants themselves, taught him the art of negotiation and the value of a keen eye for profit.
"I come from the depths of the Misty Mountains," Gnordo begins, his voice echoing with the gravelly tones of his kin. "Raised amidst the clamor of the goblin markets, I learned the ways of commerce from an early age. But it is not mere trade that brings me to this dingy town." His sharp eyes meet the hag's gaze with a mixture of curiosity and wariness. "I have heard whispers of your mystical talents, tales of divination and foresight that intrigue me greatly."
With a cautious nod, Gnordo settles onto the offered cushion, his small stature fitting snugly in the dimly lit space. "My travels have led me far and wide, but there are secrets yet undiscovered, treasures yet unearthed," he continues, his voice tinged with a hint of excitement. "I seek your wisdom, O venerable one, to uncover the paths that lie ahead and unlock the mysteries of this world." He waits, his keen eyes glinting with anticipation for the hag's response.
