    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Meta-gaming would be me looking on discord and obtain information of someone is planning to kill me so I go into hiding without any in-game clues or prompting.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power-gaming would be me breaking the immersion with god-like powers or unlikely abilities that do not fit to my backstory or the lore

You’ve just stepped off of the boat in the port of a massive and fortified city. Before you lies a sprawling bazaar, with numerous shops, stalls, and seated traders selling wares to folk of all walks of life. Just as you’re about to continue walking onwards, into the market, you’re approached by a well-dressed gentleman who looks upon you with a big smile. “Welcome!” He began. “What brings you to this lovely city? Suppressing a slight grimace at the throngs of people milling about, he nods a greeting at the man, “I suppose adventure calls to me, and what a fickle thing it is.”
