I am initially taken aback by his forward nature, but after a few seconds I come up with a response: “I’m just traveling”. The man stops and looks puzzled: “Just traveling? You must have some goal because we don’t get many people with your specific kind of clothing around these parts. I begin to become suspicious of the man’s intentions and feel on edge. After half a minute of uncomfortable silence, I finally decide that I have to say something: “I’ve come here for adventure I suppose. Well, really more just curiosity”. The man inquires, “ Where you come from?” I state it plainly: “Nordengrad”. “Nordengrad aye?” The man responds. “That’s a pretty fair distance”. “Well, I won’t hold you up any longer. Enjoy your stay in our walls!” “Thank you for the hospitality”, I reply. Then I go on my way into the city.
