You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Uh... Hello... I just arrived here after my long trip from Edenbor..." Arian said a bit unsure. "If you want to know more about me...sure. I am Arian, i was born in Edenbor, a rich city. My parents both died after I turned 15... my Father was a busy miner, I didnt see him that often, my mother was always there for me she was a godly demon, she helped me throught everything and that would explain my horns... if you were wondering..." Arian told her very insecure with a little bit of whimping in his voice. "Do you have any other questions about myself?" Arian asked. "No? ok, so im going to leave you now... Have a nice day!" Arian said loudly to the old women while continuing his trip.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Instead of writing something like: "Arian grabs his axe and he plunges it into his opponent's face." I would split it in few different actions like: "Arian grabs his axe.", "Arian readys himself" "Arian aims his axe at the opponent.", "Arian swings his axe at the enemy's face.".
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It breaks the immersion of the roleplay and gives the character unrealistic decision making.
