You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Uhm..." Gabriel, would adjust himself on the cushion, ready to tell his full story. "I was born, in a small village, I guess you could say." Gabe, would pause deciding on what more to say. "Really small, in fact. We never got out of the village much, which sparked my ambition to see the outside world." Gabe, would sigh. "Though, I do regret that. When I was little, my mother and father told me never to go out of our village. I mean, I abided of course, but I always wanted to secretly run. I finally tried it, when I was 15, and got greeted with a snake." Gabe, would look down in shame. "I somehow, got bitten and got sent home, which will lead to me ending up here, when I woke, I was in a deep sleep, apparently and woke up 3 years after." Gabe would say, catching his breathe from the extensive talk. "I ended up, staying and working in my parent's bakery, recovering my strength from my sleep. But, I ran again, and found a cave, when I went in the entrance collapsed on me, I saw green beings with swords, that brutally hacked at me, with their weapons." Gabe, would loose his voice, remembering the experience. "But, I somehow found a angel, she was as beautiful as our own world, and the gleaming water. She picked me up, and led me out. Which, I guess led me here?" Gabe, would say in a question tone, before waiting for a response.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I'd avoid powergaming, by saying "Trying or intending" not instantly doing it. So, I could attempt to do it, rather not instantly doing it, because that would be powergaming. Also, keeping your character grounded and realistic, helps a lot too.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming, ruins roleplay because if I were to say, go to a dungeon and challenge it and I got told, "Yeah, the dungeon you'll definitely die, I wouldn't go..." Well, based off that information, I can't just say "Nah, I'm not gonna go anymore." You'd have to realistically go, or if there was a in roleplay reason to go. It'd disrupt it, by causing you not to go and saving your character, that might of been dead.
