How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I refrain from compelling other characters to take actions that I'm trying to carry out, and I also avoid executing actions that go beyond my character's capabilities. When expressing my desire to take an action involving another character, I frame it as an attempt in the present tense, allowing them the opportunity to respond in line with how their character would react.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Engaging in metagaming confers an unjust advantage to players by providing them with out-of-context knowledge, thereby disrupting the immersive experience and triggering a chain of problems. It has the potential to undermine character growth, hinder social interactions, and, in some cases, result in character fatalities when individuals possess advanced knowledge of unfolding events.
