You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

*Erland approaches the hag and sits across from her* “Good Evening, I’m Erland, Erland Hale. I come from foreign lands, Slavic lands. *Erland gains confidence speaking about roots* “I was born into a farmers family, mother and father worked the fields, providing the most they could for me and my younger brother Dušan. He was cunning, and our parents were hard working, until a storm came and destroyed our whole village. It was a beautiful village. My parents were one of the first settlers who came and built the first houses. Me and Dušan had to flee taking whatever we could. *Erland looks up, thinking if he should tell the hag* “We got separated and now I’m looking for him, and I will do anything I can to find him.” *Erland stands up* “Thank you for your time, but I must go. Thank you for your company. *Erland takes his last glance at the Hag before he leaves the tent*
