    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you use knowledge you as a person knows to interact with a world through roleplay, but your character does not know the knowledge. I would also consider it metagaming when you dictate your actions based on information you have outside a game to gain an advantage or something cool even though your character would not perform those actions.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when one intentionally ignores the reality of a situation to make themselves cool and powerful. This includes trying to force actions of another person's character on them, making an "op" character who can do any feat and has no flaws, and otherwise ignoring what a realistic character with flaws would be capable of in the world's setting. Powergaming is unfair as it makes someone's character much better at everything than another person's.

Without skipping a beat Corros walks up to the man, wearing a confident and charming smile, and as he's about to walk by he wraps his arm around the man's shoulder like a good friend all the while saying "Well now, how are you doing my friend!?" . Before the man can speak Corros continues unconcerned for his answer "Now, I see there's a big ol' hustle and bustle in this place, but I want to know where I can experience the good stuff" . As he's speaking Corros waves his hand over the scene playing out in front of him "not to say this doesn't look fun, but I'm trying to find the stuff that's truly unique because I've seen all of this before" . Corros then takes his arm off the man's shoulders and with a sudden twirl turns to face him to look him in the eyes while keeping a singular hand placed on the man's left shoulder and fixing him with a playful smile "What do you say, why don't you point me in the direction of some good ol' games of chance..." Corros flips the coin he was absent-mindedly leading through his fingers "That way I, or maybe we..." Corros points between himself and man "Can start having some real fun here".
