The flare of excitement I felt as I looked at the city dies as my eyes land on the man who stopped me. I squint at him, questioningly. I’m not fond of giving my entire life story and all my deepest desires away to a stranger, but I can’t help ponder over his questions. What did bring me here? Boredom? I mean, I hopped on the first ship I saw because the last place wasn’t doing a good job of keeping me entertained. Maybe it was adventure that I sought. Or maybe I was just used to constantly being on the run from all of the trouble I cause and learned to hate staying in one place for too long. Whatever the case, I wasn’t about to tell it to this man. I snort. “You’re quite nosy, aren’t you? My reasoning for being here is none of your business.” With that, I push past him and make my way into the wondrous city beyond.
