You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Malkus examines the cabin, then the hag, he sits down, waiting for his nose to get adjusted to the smell, sniffing and wiping his nose. "Well, it's not a very interesting story, but it is a story alright" he takes an green apple out of his small bag he carries around, taking a bite from it "Well.. uhm excuse me", he finished the bite "well, i was born to two humans, but as you might see i am not exactly human, not entirely that is" he points to his green forehead and smiles "apparently my mother cheated on my "dad" with an Goblin, yeah odd, but my mother was an odd indivdual aswell, anyways, of course my father didn't want to raise me, because i wasn't really his son, but my mother still wanted to somewhat be in touch with me, so they decided to give me to my aunt, my mother's older sister, Ulga, and she was wreckless, through out their entire life, my mother and Ulga were opposites, my mother wanted to marry and Ulga wanted to fight people in bars and hunt boars in the woods, and they just, went on their seperate paths of life, until of course i came around, and my mother needed Ulga's help, suprisingly Ulga agreed, later she told me it was because she thought she could sell me or something without my mother knowing, but that didn't work ou--" Malkus sneezes, he wipes his nose with his hand "that smell is messing up my nose, does it not bother you?" he looks at the hag "ok sorry ill continue, anyways, until i was about 17 i was raised by my aunt, i mean when she wasn't drunk or hunting, but sometimes she brought me with her, and taught me "life tips" as she called it:" "NEVER BACK DOWN FROM A HUNT, IF YOU'LL LET THE MOST TAME ANIMAL LOOSE, THE NEXT ONE MIGHT BE FEARLESS AND BITE OFF YOUR LEG!" Malkus says in an raspy but high pitched voice, "and sometimes it was non sense but i did pick up a few things, and when i became old enough for her.. well.. 12, she introduced me to some of her friends, which she said will be good connections to gather information about high bid hunts, and for the next 5 years i helped her on her hunts, and sometimes she even gave me cuts from her bounties she gather on her hunting sprees, which is used to buy better gear for myself, and apples, mostly green ones, but i only find red ones in this part of the region, sorry sorry, well let me be short, i've been talking for a while and i am starting to get thristy, and i was told back at the last town that the next one is only at the other side of this swamp, so anyways, when i was 17 i left home to pursue my own hunting career! catching hunting bounties and being a total badass, that was time i started experiencing these rages, which i read are common for goblin/human hybrids, and yeah i mean it helps me with hunting bigger animals, but sometimes these Rages make me tear apart my entire hunt bounty, living pieces of flesh everywhere, and that makes it so much more complicated, but hey! i am sure theres some magical herb that can help me control these goblin tantrums.. mahybe you have something? being a hag and all?" he stares at the hag for a couple of seconds, "well never mind.. anyways, here i am today! following the same dream and acheiving.. umm.. yeah i haven't done much, but my aunt always said! BECOMING THE GREATEST WILL CATCH YOU BY SUPRISE! AND WHEN YOU DO BECOME GREAT! LIKE YOUR AUNT, YOULL NEED TO HOLD ON TIGHT! BECAUSE GREATNESS CAN ALSO BE GONE AND LEAVE YOU SUPRISED EXACTLY LIKE THE FIRST TIME!" he finishes talking and gets up, biting his apple and leaving it in his mouth "ahnywhays, iht wwhas nhice mhehting yhou! ihll ghet ghoihng nhow!" he mutters as he exits the tent, the apple still in his mouth.
