    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using knowledge your character could not possibly know.
    Example: I learn about an invasion from a discord I am in. My character who would not have been present to find out said information suddenly learns about it from thin air.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Define powergaming in your own words: Powergaming is carrying out godlike powers, or unfair actions which can be but is not limited to forcing an emote onto someone else during rp.
    Example:
    Powergaming: Eliza swings her sword at Lloyd cutting off his head instantly
    Vs.
    Proper: Eliza attempts to swing her sword at Lloyd aiming for his neck.
    Status: Accepted

After stumbling off of the boat and tossing the bag she had been nauseously holding her face into for the duration of the trip. She frantically combed into her hair with her fingers as the gentleman approached her, stuttering as she spoke "W- well that's a very forward question." She adjusted her sleeve a bit trying to regain whatever remained of her poise "Do you just waltz over to every newcomer asking frivolous questions?" She squinted her eyes at the man sizing him up "You must be a snake oil salesmen. Yes yes, I've heard of your type. You can help me by pointing me to the nearest inn or you can shoo, go away." She puffed herself up a bit aggressively as she regained her confidence.
