You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Tix Ticks would look around, when realizing he was being talked to his face would light up. "Oh Tix Tixs love to tell stories he does,-" Tix speaks quickly, so quick in fact his words tend to get jumbled together. -"Tix Tixs was out looking for his hammer! Got lodged in one a' Tix's cannons, oh but of course Tix Tixs didn't know until e' was testin' the damned thing! Tix's hammer flew miles!"
As his mouth told his short tale his hands accompanied him, his hands flying about and nearly hitting himself a few times. Tix would pause, assessing the question again before giving a long "OOOHHH". "You meant Tix's story before he got here? Tix Ticks got a lot o' good stories he does! Tix Ticks is's gone'a tell you about a childhood story!" Tix Ticks speaks excitedly, it is clear he likes this story. "When Tix Ticks was a youngin' he wasn't named no Tix Ticks, parents changed it to Tix Ticks, cus e' always found a way to make things tick! Whetha' it be with boom powda', or just by talkin too much!-" Tix said the words 'boom powder" especially excitedly. -"Ahhh, boom powdah, there's a story! Tix Ticks been making things go boom before he could speak! Had a talent for it he did! Even when Tix Ticks was a kid, made a mighty boom he did with his own typa' powder! Made his and parents hole they lived in cave in!-" Tix cleared his throat after a few seconds. "Tix sure parents made it out fine though! Tix managed to squeak through the cracks in the rocks, Tix sure his parents did the same!" Tix Ticks shakes his head, as if to shake off the conversation. "Tix Ticks just been livin' in buncha holes since then, movin' around, boomin things up, moving around some moe' you know 'ow it is!"
Tix Ticks would jump off the chair he was sitting on, waving goodbye with both of his hands, before saying "Tix Ticks gots to get goin now! Tha' hammer ain't going to find itself!
