You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

My name is Talva Orthwel
I grew up in the Haense with my father and sister, the first couple years of my life were both of significance. Pretty normal all things considered. I would go to the market with my father and my older sister would tend to other matters at the house, two times of the week my sister would teach me how to read. And so it continued for 10 years. When I was about fifteen things changed, father got sick and we couldn't pay our upkeep, my father tried to scrounge up what coin he could but it wasn't enough, his Health was deteriorating and there was nothing we could do. Eventually he was in pain no longer… I wish it were sooner. Me and my sister now had to leave, never to return. So many nights we were out in the rain, I can just feel it. The water in my boots and my hair was soaked, laying under a tree and every so often a droplet of water would fall on my forehead welts I was half awake. Maybe every couple of weeks we'd get the privilege of sleeping next to the horse's but even that was miserable. But not as miserable as being on your own. It was the second year of this routine and my sister had left our makeshift camp to go into town to get some coin. I waited five days for her, she never came back. I got scared and wondered where she had gone. I went into town looking only to find that she had token the first carriage to Balian. She left me and had been hold a large amount of coin to apparently. Form then to know I have been wondering and taking off Jobs here and there, of got a large some of coin now too. Looking for my sister was never on my to do list but I've gotten word of someone matching her description. And now I will find her!
