Sunbucket

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I'd meet her gaze, "I'm surprised you couldn't smell my stench from this distance, hah!" I'd reposition my arms and legs in the seat, "Us dwarves are clever, but spend little time..." I'd pause and look at my dirtied, stained garments, "Well.. you know, a bath is not needed when you're smithing war hammers and axes all day, hahah!" A hardy laugh echoes from my stomach and fills the room. I'd pick my self back up in my seat, "I am Sunion, the great blacksmith from the North! I come from a dwarven castle, far from here, but... recently I've come across hard times..." I'd clear my throat and swallow my pride, "Our castle was raided by orcs, and though we pride ourselves in defending ourselves from these beasts, I..." repositioning my seating arrangement, "I...-...We couldn't hold them off, they over ran our strongholds and ran us out, I was able to bring some of my resources and weapons with me however and plan to start a new..."
