You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"I washed up on the shore" he replied gruffly to the strange woman, "I suppose now I need to look for work, though, all I know is the sea..." he said before pausing and thinking for a while. "Know any jobs for seafarer's in these lands?" Kendall hailed from a seaside town, always aspiring to join a boat and work out at sea. He worked as a small time fisherman for sometime but later moved onto larger merchant expeditions and bigger fishing boats. One night, a large storm struck and while saving other members of the crew from getting knocked overboard by the strong winds and loose hardware on the ship, he fell overboard himself. Washing up on the shore disoriented Kendall made use of his time as a seasoned laborer and worldly man to find a nearby swampy village.
