You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Apologies, I... am late." you mumble, as you slowly approach the cushion, proceeding to take a seat onto it. You would begin to tell your story to the elderly woman "I came seeking your help, you see I have a rather peculiar issue I have stumbled into as of recent."
The hag would lean in and a small grin would appear on her face bending her wrinkles and reply "I know of your troubles, I just wish to hear your story first."
Elduin would take a second to ponder, unsure of how the hag knew of his blight. He considered, the rumors may be true, that this hag truly does know some ancient magics long lost to time. Lost in his thoughts, the sudden crack of a branch outside would bring him to his attention. Startled he would exclaim "S-sorry..I lost myself."
Her gaze still fixed upon him, her grin would widen. With a tone sounding as if she expecting something she would exclaim "That does not sound like a story to me"
Elduin would nod, "Let me begin, I am from a large city, out west." His expression would change, to one of happiness remembering his past "I had many friends in my earlier years but as I grew older, I could no longer remain there; it is my only dream to one day to be able to return." His slight smile would fade away as he mumbled his last words.
The hag would finally break her gaze, looking towards the entrance of the tent as if she was looking at someone else.
"How foolish the young can be with their attachment to the past" She would say with an almost caring tone. "And now, where are you?"
Elduin would look confused, wondering what the point of all her questions. He'd fumble with his hands, unsure of the intent of the hag but reply once to her once more. "Well, I suppose at this moment I am here, inside this tent with you."
She would return her gaze to him, this time with a much more intimidating feel, the temperature
felt as if it dropped as tension filled the air. She would not speak, only stare intently into his eyes.
He would shiver, and break the gaze. He would nervously exclaim "Is that...all you want of me?" He would hear a faint "I cannot help you" from behind him. He frantically looked up, the hag was gone.
