You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
(My character is half elf but since there is no section such as half-elf in the races selection,i selected just elf because my character were in elven lands recently.)
"I've been in elven land, went there to see my mother. You told me countless times to trust my fathers words that shes dead but i cant do it,im sorry." Sits down next to women."After they outcasted me for my elven blood, you cant expect me to trust them. And my father did nothing, after all,his powers meant nothing against some words coming out of bastards." He clenches his fists, then frees them "I went to elven lands, because they banished me from my ranger duty after i get in fight with some ranger,he spoke bad about my elven mother,so i took care of him,hes not dead but he was wishing for it.He probably snitched to my captain, didnt tell anything he said, only my part and they just banished me from these lands. So i went to elven lands, stay with them for a while to look for my mom, couldnt find her but learned a lot from them. Then i went out for a mission,i will leave everything behind and start a new story.Im not .... anymore, from now on,my name is Duremyd Silvereye,im just some common soldier.I wont tell anyone about my real name and my backstory, hoping same from you too."

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Instead of doing miracles like Jesus,i would grind my character through the roleplay and be powerful that way,so no one would think im doing powergaming. Also i know other players wants to enjoy this game as well so i wouldnt mind giving them couple wins. Also i know the limits of my character and wouldnt do such acts even that situation results in a bad way for my character.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Someone could be planning something for months, perfect plan to hurt you or your kingdom, your people, but you hear about plan from somewhere and just avoid it and his months of work is now gone. For example, orcs siegeing a castle but cant go through it,so they dig a tunnel, but off-game you hear about it and fill the tunnel in-game and kill the orcs.In that scenario,i would enter napoleon mode, there is nothing i can do and focus on defending the castle and act like idk anything about tunnel. To avoid metagaming,i would just move according to information my character knows and even someone else tells me something to help me i wouldnt reflect that information into the game and just ignore it.
