Venin, like many, was an orphan left on the steps of a noble family’s home in Felson. She has no idea who her parents are nor who her family is, all that was left was a word: Audunian. However, she was lucky enough to be raised as a maid in the home she was left at. As she grew, she gained several skills and fine-tuned them: cooking, music, and writing. Despite her humble birth, the family raised her as their daughter since they were only able to have one child due to pregnancy complications. She was well educated and cared for. However, as she grew to the age of 15, she noticed that the father of the family began to spiral into a depression as their riches began to fade due to their son’s gambling. It got to the point where they fired all their staff. Venin was left to wander, not knowing where to go. For several years, she worked odd jobs and slept in the many taverns and farms she worked for. Eventually, she began to discover the rich history of the land she lived in as she worked in a library organizing books. She learned of a race called Adunians, learning that that is what the note left with her meant. She didn’t blame the ones who raised her for not telling her. This group, as she learned, was looked down upon. Still, she was determined to learn more. She read all she could from Baren The Bold to modern day, taking pride in her heritage and growing a hate for the northern ‘Old Faith’. She kept her thoughts on these things to herself. Recently, she was recognized and told off by someone who saw her reading a book about Audunians. She ended up slapping the woman who called her a rat. This woman ended up being from a rather high profile family. Venin, fearful of facing punishment for the offense, fled and stayed away from large cities and settlements, moving from village to village to find shelter and food.
