You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Grumni walked about the shanty town with a carefully guarded look of disdain on his face. Seeking out some form of tavern or town hall would've been his first option, but after managing to lose himself twice amidst the shacks and cabins, he found himself at the mouth of the Hag's tent. Upon entering and being offered the cushion, Grumni replaced his disdain with a smile, rattling pouches and bottles attached ot his belt as he adjusted it. Taking the uncomfortable seat, looked about the tent to take in his surroundings, he began to speak.
"Thank ye, m'story ain' all tha' interestin'. Ae'm lookin' fer m'brother and 'eard he was headin' t'is direction. Y'see, our Good Father jus' passed, an' ae need t'see an' speak wit' 'im t'let him know th'runnin' of things..."
The Dwarf continued to prattle on about various matters, none of much interest to the Hag. Eventually, she began to move about the cabin to deal with other matters as she listened, offering a 'Hm?' or sound of acknowledgement. First, the Hag moved to a small table filled with various ingredients, tinctures, and bottles- Mixing together some ingredients, before setting them aside. Then the Hag stepped towards the Dwarf, ignoring him to pick a candle out of the air that had dimmed. Reigniting it, she then placed it back just as it was in the air. This gave the Dwarf pause, before he spoke again.
"Well, like ae said, ae'm lookin' fer me brother. Ye haven' seen 'im? Well, tha's alrigh', ae think ae'll be on m'way then. Thankin' ye fer yer time, an' may yer travels be plentiful and safe!"
Grumni spoke without pause as he pushed himself back to a stand. With a smile and a wave, he exited as swiftly as he entered, without waiting for further response from the Hag.
