You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Oh, I just, uh…" *you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…* "You know all things require an explanation.. But perhaps this one will be provided with one. *Just before continuing, the dwarf would take out his canteen which contained water, sipping from the content of it, as soon as he finished, he paused and then said;* "I've grown and grown, many trees saw my hair and beard be shorter than it used to be now, but they've seen within me that my way was lost. It was not dishonor that was brought to me directly, but inherited... *He would gaze down at the floor, sighing as he went through his memories..* "Within my clan, my father lost his valour, and through being his descendant, I was neglected by everyone, including my mother, but strangely, my uncle took me in. He saw potential in stone and hammer, in axe and skull. *The short man would move his head up and down once, nodding.* "That way, he made me combat my fears, loneliness, by just enough training he offered me, he brought me out and left me, he left me to confront the wolves so I would return leading the pack, and now, while still my past plagues me, so does the future."
