    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is the usage of out-of-character knowledge for in-character gain. I know this mostly from Discord-based Roleplay and D&D, such as a dungeon master telling a player something and then somehow their character knowing that same knowledge without learning about it in roleplay.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: I believe power gaming is essentially one character forcing their power over another, such as; character 1 forced their sword through character 2's blocks, killing them in one fateful blow.

Roesia couldn't contain her excitement as she stepped off the ship that had carried her for so many days. Her stomach was rumbling from both a bit of sea sickness and hunger, and the first thing on her mind was food. The high elf ensured the few things she had on her person; a bow, quiver, arrows and writing equipment, were secure. Right as she did, a man approached her, dressed extravagantly and with a big smile. As he began to speak, she placed a hand on the dagger at her side but quickly relaxed her tense muscles and listened to his words. "Oh, I.. I'm just traveling through I suppose. Though the travel doesn't seem to end as of late." Roesia scoffed at herself. Looking around at all the shops and traders, she opened her mouth once more with a smirk on her lips. "Tell me- where's this cities best tavern?"
